Supernatural has been a long time favorite of mine. Brothers, Hunters, The Impala, the very complicated lives and how to handle good and bad. Angels, Demons, Gods, Witches – the whole enchilada and the brothers’ relationship is what makes me stick to this series.

Once Upon a Time – is in a way, a retelling of the famous stories you learned when you were a child. I like that it is a child who believes that the people from StoryBrooke are all fairy tale characters but have forgotten who they were. Snow White, the Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin makes this series a must-see for me. I love how the writers try to retell the story and I love their costumes. It is always fantastic!

The Vampire Diaries – I love the brothers here as well. I just hate the love triangle all the time. I love that it’s totally better than the books but I love the tv series because of the different complications each of the characters bring in. I do wish that they’d give a better role to Bonnie, she is a powerful witch anyway.

I am currently reading books authored by Michael Connelly. I first got the book The Brass Verdict which featured one of his character Michael Haller or Mickey Haller, as a defense attorney. At first reading, I was hooked. I actually didn’t read the first book though which is The Lincoln Lawyer. I watched the movie though and asked my husband who was patient enough to read the first book if the movie was accurately depicted, he said that it was mostly the same so I guess I didn’t miss much but perhaps I’ll read it too.

I liked his writing style. I never know what will happen next. I get lost chronologically though because I tried reading Blood Work, then learn that the second appearance of Terry Mccaleb goes into a Harry Bosch series as well. So I don’t have any suggestions on how to read, except perhaps by their release dates. Even if the books are stand alone meaning you can read them by themselves and not have to worry about understanding them, I suggest you do it chronologically because some characters die, get hurt, lost in the process and some background history of love or hate has happened.

Harry Bosch series is actually 17 books and going strong. I am now in Book 12. My favorite is Book 10. I love the twists though I am getting familiar with his style of all evidence points to a culprit but in the end, it becomes clearer and the focus shifts. But all of it is believable and I love that his characters have distinct personalities and styles.

I highly recommend Michael Connelly for those who love John Grisham or James Patterson style of writing. I think you’ll find him refreshing and a very great story teller.

November 18. Breaking Dawn Part 1 is finally going to be shown on the big screen. I’m a vampire addict and a paranormal fan. Of the four books, Breaking Dawn is my favorite. The characters were stronger. Backgrounds already made.

As a romantic, the idea of the wedding and the pregnancy is also one that made this book more memorable. Plus, I love the concept of the Volturi and the Cullens with their friends in a fight.

I also wanted to read how they would show the idea of Bella’s transformation and what the werewolves would do about it. It makes all the other struggles pale in comparison as Bella tries to save the persons most important to her.

What about you? Team Edward? Team Jacob?

Edith Hamilton's Mythology

I loved the footnotes, reading the characters, the storytelling and practically everything about it.

My memory of this book is murky at best but I do remember it as something that made me very interested in the Greek, Norse and Roman Mythologies.

It is where I first met Odin, Loki, and Thor, Freya and the rest of the gods in Asgard.

Where I learned about Zeus, Hera, Ares, Vulcan, Cupid and Psyche, and all other gods of Olympus.

Where I learned of Juno, Jupiter, Mars, and other Roman Gods.

This is when I learned that Gods in the stories, are like humans. They make mistakes, they get angry, they get jealous. The only difference is they have magical powers that can hurt you.

So what book made you sit in a couch and read? What’s the first book that made you love reading?

At my couch, you’ll find that I love to read books with varying genres. I enjoy paranormal romances, bestsellers, books made into movies, books made into tv shows, suspense/thriller books and books for young adult.

Expect to find me at my couch, and watching tv shows for teens, reality shows, or design shows and cooking shows. From the same couch, I like watching movies I can enjoy, my husband enjoys and what I think my kids would like.

Sitting by my couch is a comfortable place. Expect my take on books I’ve read, movies I loved and tv shows I liked!
